چکیده
O artigo se propõe a organizar à vol d'oiseau história do pensamento pertinente relação entre instituições, cultura e desenvolvimento, selecionando os marcos mais relevantes. Para isto, está organizado em três partes. A primeira identifica as contribuições originais partir de Alexis Tocqueville, Georg Friedrich List, Escola Histórica Alemã Economia Política (escola histórica) Institucionalista Americana (EIA). segunda destaca o renascimento debate nas décadas 1970/80 que aproximou diversas áreas conhecimento um campo pesquisa multidisciplinar estabeleceu compressão das desigualdades nações como problemática central. terceira seleciona recentes, Douglass North, exerce atualmente forte influência, autores introduziram no termo capital social (Pierre Bourdieu, James Coleman, Francis Fukuyama Robert Putnam) Daron Acemoglu Robinson. parte derradeira é reservada para algumas conclusões acerca estágio atual desafios vindouros.
